H.E Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh

Mayor of Amman – Chairman of Amman Vision Treatment and Recycling

Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh has been the Mayor of Amman since August 2017. He has held key roles including Chairman of the Amman Municipal Committee, Chairman of Addustour newspaper, and Minister of Political Development and Parliamentary Affairs. With over 15 years in local government, he served as Deputy Mayor of Amman, Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee, and Chairman of the Tenders Committee at the Greater Amman Municipality. He also contributed to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2016. Dr. Al-Shawarbeh holds a PhD in Constitutional Law from Al-Neelain University in Sudan and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Jordan.

H.E Abdul Latif Ahmad Al-Najdawi

Secretary-General of Prime Ministry - Vice Chairman of the Board of Director

Abdul Latif Ahmad Al-Najdawi, born on February 23, 1976, is the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers since 2022. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and has served in various high-level legal and administrative positions, including Secretary General of the Constitutional Court and several roles within the Legislative and Opinion Bureau. He is actively involved in numerous committees, focusing on governance, development, and public sector reform.

H.E Eng Wajdi Yassin Ahmad Al-Dulain

Secretary-General of the Ministry of Local Administration

Wajdi Yassin Ahmad Al-Dulain, with a civil engineering degree from Romania, is the Secretary General for Technical Affairs at the Ministry of Local Administration. He has been with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing since 1995 and served as the Director of Public Works for Aqaba Governorate from 2013 to 2014.

Eng. Ammar Abu Drais

Ammar Abu Drais is an environmental consultant with over 21 years of experience in solid waste management and environmental technology. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Technology and Climate Change from the University of Jordan. Currently, he is the General Manager of GREENPLANS and a Board Member at Dimetric. His work includes international projects and advisory roles with organizations like UNDP and USAID, focusing on sustainable environmental practices.

H.E Zaher Al-Qatarneh

Secretary-General of the Ministry of Investment

Zaher Al-Qatarneh holds a Master’s degree in International Law from England and has a distinguished career combining law and economics. He is the Secretary General of the Jordanian Ministry of Investment and Acting Director General of the Jordan Investment Fund. His career includes significant roles in trade policy and international negotiations, making him a key figure in Jordan’s investment and economic strategy.

H.E Mohammad Rasmi Al Qaisi

Deputy Mayor of Amman

H.E Mohammad Rasmi Al-Qais serves as the Deputy Mayor of Amman. He has been a member of the Amman City Council representing the Suwaylih District for two terms. Additionally, he has previously held the position of Board Member at the Amman Vision Transport Company.

H.E. Jihad Alsawair

Secretary-General of the Ministry of Environment

H.E. Jihad Alsawair, with over 25 years of experience, leads initiatives in environmental protection, green growth, and climate action. He serves as Acting Secretary General of the Jordanian Ministry of Environment and directs the Waste Management and Hazardous Substances Directorate. holds a PhD in Environmental Science and Health from the University of Nevada-Reno, USA.
